Satsukikai
Ishizuchi Kurocha has been made in Komatsu Village at the base of Mt Ishizuchi (Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture) for hundreds of years. In 1996 just one farmer was left who knew how to make this fermented folk tea, and the Satsukikai (Satsuki Association) was created as a preservation society to ensure this tradition was not lost.
