In the previous article, we introduced you to a quintessential herb for Japanese cuisine, red shiso ( also called purple shiso or perilla). 

 

What's Red Shiso (Perilla) and How to Enjoy it 

 

 

This time, we'll show you how to enjoy it as a dressing. It's a simple and easy recipe, but will brighten up your table with color and flavor. The special flavor is hard to describe, so, please try it once. You'll never forget the taste.

 

This dressing is made with these pickled and dried red shiso leaves.

Red Shiso Dressing RECIPE

 

 

Ingredients

  

Instruction

Whisk all the ingredients in a small bowl or shake together in a jam jar.

 

 

 

 

You can make any salads for the dressing ,but if you add some white ingredients such as chicken breast, tofu, and califlower, etc, into your salad, the dressing will make them even more attractive.
