About

The Yunomi.life Curator Program brings together individuals who are passionate about Japanese tea, food, culture, and tradition, and who are interested in supporting Yunomi.life’s mission. As a curator, you will contribute to our website by sharing written and/or visual content, promoting our teas on social media, and spreading your love for Japanese culture. In appreciation for your support, curators earn points that can be redeemed for discount codes to use in our online store.

Here at Yunomi.life have nearly a thousand teas from 150+ producers that are then divided up into nearly 5000 different SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) due to size variation. Such an undertaking for a small company means that we do spread ourselves thin. We are definitely not your traditional tea company, but a startup with a purpose - find / create new markets for small scale producers of the Japanese culture we love so much. Tea is our focus but the challenges faced by the tea industry is repeated in so many other parts of Japan.

We would like to help so many more of the thousands of tea farmers and small factories who face a declining domestic market. By giving them exposure to the global markets, we add new revenue to their shrinking businesses. Our efforts offset the consolidation by big producers of the Japanese tea market, and give these small businesses a way to shine on the global stage.

How it works

• Apply to become a curator
  Fill out the application form to join the Yunomi.life Curator Community.
  
• Get accepted, pay the administrative fee and submit content
   Once accepted, you'll be able to submit your written or visual content using a designated Google Form. Our team will review your submission.
• Earn points for approved content
   Points will be awarded for work that is accepted and published.
  
• Redeem points for discounts
   Use your points to unlock discount codes for use at the Yunomi.life online store.

Administrative Fee

The curators pay 500 yen per quarter, but it generates a gift card of the same amount that can be used in the Yunomi.life online store.

Payment

• Points can be redeemed for Yunomi.life discount codes
• You can earn up to 200,000 points (maximum cap)

Agreement/Policy

• By submitting content, the curator grants Yunomi.life non-exclusive, perpetual rights to use, edit, and repurpose the content for any purpose, including marketing and publication. 
• Yunomi.life reserves the right to edit submitted content for clarity, formatting, and suitability before publication. 
• The points awarded will be decided on a case by case basis by Yunomi.life staff. Yunomi.life reserves the right to determine the amount of points awarded based on the content submitted by the Curator.
• Please ensure that the content you provide, both visual and written, does not infringe on the portrait rights, copyrights, or privacy of any third parties, including individuals appearing in the image or the location where it was taken.
• This program may be discontinued or modified at any time without prior notice.
• If the submitted content is sold in its original or near-original form (e.g. as a downloadable file or physical print), the curator will receive 20% of the sale value in points.

Translation

• Translating existing website or blog content into other languages

Writing Content

• Product Description
• Vendor Description
• Blogs (recipe, events, etc)
• Any of the above in other languages 

Visual Content (Photo & Video)

• Product photography and video
• Photos/videos of locations in Japan
• Tea based drinks and foods
• Japanese tea related images and creative visuals

After you have submitted your application we will review it and contact successful applicants with links to the content submission forms, administrative fee payment, and other relevant information. As each application is reviewed manually and our team is small we appreciate your patience.
